Little Gull in foregroound, Bonaparte's for perspective

Spotted it on the beach with Bonaparte’s for comparison. Smaller size overall. Smaller bill and legs. In non-breeding plumage. Adult or near adult bird I believe. Some black on head and some dark panels on the underwings when lifted, particularly close to the tip. Photos included. Rosanne Petrich has a very good flight shot showing underwings.
