At my arrival one adult carrying food waiting at nest then entered nest site. Second adult out in pond. At 10:02 presumed male waiting and watching at both nest entrances. 10:30. - Moved off and tucked. Then adult left nest and one chick dropped to the water at 10:50 with both parents present and an adult tremoloed twice. Presumed female returned to nest so possibly second chick coming. One adult moved well out into the pond with chick # 1 under wing. The breeding code is not accurate; this is a pre-fledged bird.
