**LIFE BIRD**. 3 separate pairs. Did not have camera. - Large flycatcher and relatively large billed, comparable to Great Crested. But primarily overlaps with Great Crested only during migration in south Texas. - Does overlap as summer breeder with Ash-throated. However, Brown-crested is larger overall, has more extensive rufous in undertail, has a bit brighter yellow stomach and more distinction where gray meets yellow.
