Seen from CR 225, bordering the Country Club, 250-300 yard scope view at 40-50 power. We were at the location 50 minutes and had the grebe in sight 2/3 of the time. It was near the west (nearest) side of the lake, swimming with coots and Gadwalls, with its head tucked most of the time. 3\4 the size of coot, and 2/3 bigger than PBGR nearby. Brownish upperparts and hind neck, whitish breast and foreneck. Blocky head with long, yellowish bill.
