One unusual individual, smaller than the rest, off by itself. Bill shape and forehead slope weren't distinctly cackling but weren't quite right for Canada - I'd say intermediate between the two. Neck seemed pretty short. It was sitting in the marsh not moving, very close to the road, so I watched it for a while and got fairly close photos.
