Continuing bird in the DNR marsh (0+00) that responded to playback with a grunting outburst. Later found a pair foraging in the open water at 30+00, which is a "new" location for them this season. Only found them when I heard what sounded like a quiet grunting outburst. Used a short burst of playback, and one grunted loudly and ran closer to me, while the other emerged from the reeds and began foraging along the water's edge. Both remained in the same area for several minutes, leisurely foraging in the open water.
