Slightly larger than the nearby California, but smaller than the Western Gull. The bird had scaly black-brown upperparts with a neat wing pattern. Underparts off white with brown baring on lower half and streaks on neck/breast; long winged, pale head, black bill , grayish pink legs. Found this morning by KH.
