觀察細節
I have posted the photo to ABID and Liam Murphy's advice is there is not enough in the photo for a definitive ID. Looking at the eBird records it is clear both occur here and the 'uncommon' flag in the app for BT was a red hearing. I have to go with Liam's advice so have flipped this observation from RTT to BT/RTT. I have since listened to BT recordings and they also have a high pitch contact call. I am fairy sure the RTT recordings are a better match to what I heard, but after the fact, my sound recollection isn't enough to be sure. The iNaturlist AI picks it as a Russet-tailed Thrush but offers the Bassian Thrush as an alternative. I'll see wha the iNaturlist community comes back with, but I suspect Liam's advice is the best I'll get. https://www.facebook.com/groups/aubirdid/permalink/2680290432136931/ '''''' Original Notes: Tentative until I can look at photos and consult field guide. eBird has Bassin Thrush as uncommon here and no flag on Russet-tailed Thrush so identification party based on location. Looked plainer than a Basian Thrush to me but highly subjective. Have a partly obscured photo. Heard and seen well. The contact call not the song. I haven't yet listened to the Bassian Thrush to see if it has a similar contact call. I think I heard a second bird later, not enough to log. Update: Just looking at historic records for the location and it looks like there are plenty of Bassian Thrush seen here so the eBird app probably isn't giving good advice. I will look at pictures soon.
