As described - just before and then after mile marker 3 post on the north side, Initially standing in rock with head tucked. Nearly invisible as it blended in. Then flew short burst ~20 meters east (in the direction towards end of dike) and scampered around the rocks before flying back about 40 meters. Two birders there helped put me on it.
