觀察細節
While walking the length of Greengate Cottonwoods we saw two swallows flying low out in the field to the east between us and the ephemeral pond. We walked out into the grass to get a better look. At first we thought they must be Tree Swallows because it’s too early, we felt, for Violet-greens. But we saw extensive white wrapping up the sides of the rump and almost meeting on top. There was also extensive white in their faces. They were flying quite low in front of us and directly overhead for good views. We also felt that these swallows were short tailed, compact, unlike Tree Swallows. Sun was shining. iPhone photos only.
