觀察細節
Viewing from the eighth floor of the Waterfront Tower, looking at the channels and islands of Absecon Bay. A small roost of gulls and Brant just below the tower, on the south side of the bay, forming the eastern side of where a canal named "Clam Thorofare" (according to Google maps) enters the bay. The gull was originally spotted in the water a few feet from land, and then hopped up on land and stood next to a few Herring Gulls. Noticeably larger than the Herring Gulls. At distance it appears pure white, but in the scope there are a few light brown patches on the body feathers, with a little vermiculation on the uppertail/rump. Bill large, bicolored pink and blackish. Scoped through tinted window a few hundred feet away.
