I saw it perched on railroad tie fencepost. It then flew towards me and landed atop metal fencepost less than twenty feet from me, affording me lovely views. I see Mountain Bluebirds on most winter visits to this area. eBird app flagged this as rare, so I'm submitting this photographic proof. Calm & clear -- a bluebird day.
