**RARE** Adult plumage bird near the dam, swimming in front of the Waterside Ln houses. Upon first noticing the bird, naked eye, we thought it would end up being a Mute swan. Upon reviewing photos, we suspected it would be a TRUS. The photos weren't showing the forehead though, so we drove to a woodlot on Waterside to take photos and get better looks. We ended up recording the bird as well. Field marks: Large Swan, obviously larger than a TUSW. White body, duh. Black bill, no yellow in lores or anywhere on bill From the side, the forehead sloped evenly into the bill, and gave it a very TRUS appearance, furthermore, the line where the forehead meets the bill was v-shaped, rather than straight like a TUSW. Call a deep bugling honk, gave several types of calls. One recorded. The only main concern would be provenance, but I find it extremely unlikely that an adult bird from a stagnant population would show up all the way at lake holiday. The time of year is also consistent with TRUS movements up north, so one being caught up in a storm (quite windy, and northwest winds as well) is not far-fetched. An exciting bird
