觀察細節
Heard (to my surprise) the distinct GHOW “hahoo hoo hoo” descending towards the end. Not the “ha hoo. Ha hoo.” of a BTPI. It hooted on and off from 1:42 - 4pm loudly. Eventually a Pileated Woodpecker started calling and alarming in response to the hoots. Very strange for it to hoot in the middle of the day. Around 2:30pm I heard a second GHOW hoot in response in the distance, from a different direction. At 2:43pm a third one also responded, it was somewhere northeast of the reservoir - hooting at the same time as the other two. At 4:40pm when I returned to my car at the trailhead on Black Rd there TWO MORE GHOW responding to each other!! Strange everyone is hooting throughout the day and early evening. I stuck around until 5:30pm and could still hear owl hoots all around. I also heard BTPI during my walk, but to my ear they are distinctly different. The recording I have attached is faint, but you can hear two owls hooting to each other
