This short stubby white heron heron was obvious as it fed in the cow pasture. It was feeding the entire time we were present. Conspicuous short stubby yellowish-orange bill (possibly with a hint of black on the outer culmen; light conditions and distance made it impossible to determine whether this was indeed blackish pigment or an artifact of light), short blackish legs, thick neck all readily observed.
