觀察細節

A pair attending a nest, and later a second female seen father up the hill. We watched the nest for ca. 1 hour while the female collected strands of moss and made trips back and forth to weave pieces into the nest structure. The male stayed in the vicinity but was not observed participating in construction. After waiting for a long while we had incredible looks at the male doing a display nearby in the forest mid-story where he raised the feathers on his crest and rocked back and forth like a wind up toy whlie singing. Unexpected to find this species, rather than Yellow-bellied at this elevation.
