Young were First observed by Karla Everard over a week ago. Nest was found about one week ago with five chicks. By July 13 checks are now very mobile climbing up and down the reeds to water level and back up to 5 feet above the water. The day after this observation the chicks have appeared to abandon the nest area altogether.
