Great views of these three large stocky Tringas. Each had a long straight dark bill, grayish light brown body, gray legs, some barring on body, and distinctive black and white wing pattern resembling the decorative bunting flourish on 19th and early 20th-century political banners. Seen on mudflat at northeast end of Pond 1W and also on southeast corner of 1W on the grassy and muddy edge of the pond. Photos to follow.
