Took my dog for a walk to look for bird spotted by Andrew Gaerte yesterday evening. Found the gorgeous Yellow-Crowned Night Heron on a large forked downed tree, just above the creek. I posted immediately to FB and Kevin came along with his daughter and then many more birders came. I left to walk my dog and returned to the same spot about 20 minutes later. The bird had moved but while I was standing there a Yellow-Crowned Night Heron landed on the same downed tree and stayed briefly and then flew east down the creek and up into the tree canopy. I walked down to the other birders and they said the bird was still there, I then walked back to the original spot to show the other birders where I had seen the bird originally and the bird landed there again and then moved down to the water in the same area. If the original bird was to the west where the other birders were then there are two in the area. Photos attached.
