觀察細節
I was originally very confused as to what this call was. I heard it calling in the evening for several days, but it was very reclusive and didn't associate with other birds. I only caught a glimpse of the bird today, and saw a small gray myioparus flycatcher. Only after looking up recordings on Macaulay library ( https://goo.gl/ckIf3r ) did I feel comfortable with this ID. The interesting thing about this recording is just that the repeated descending whistle isn't described in the Stevenson Field Guide, and is not on the mobile app. In addition, it is quite absent from the xeno-canto site for GTTFL: http://www.xeno-canto.org/species/Myioparus-griseigularis As a side note, I thought briefly that it could be a Gray Longbill. Based on range restriction, my visual, and the halting quality of my recording I ruled it out. However, this xeno-canto forum served to confuse my thinking: http://www.xeno-canto.org/forum/topic/13184 .
