Continuing. Photos, video. This bird is clearly a male based on its glossy black plumage with rusty fringes. After some research it seems ageing males is difficult in fall because first-fall birds undergo a complete molt in most cases, after which they are essentially identical to adults in the field. So, this bird will have to be left age unknown.
