first year male Snow Bunting was seen at Lake Lewisville Park from about 12 pm to 1 pm in the area around Hobie Point, could see all his field marks, from his orange-yellow bill, small rusty ear patch, mostly white head, white underparts and large white wing patch, and the thin rusty stripe on his crown that broadened out to a rusty nape, it also had a very distinctive rusty breast band that almost, but not quite, met in the middle, the large amount of white on its head and wings (see photos) identified it as a male and the heavy breast band as a first year male; bird was first found just before Christmas
