Barely audible, sorry. You actually can sort of see it on the spetrogram, about 2 seconds in.
觀察細節
***rare, but known from area. Vocalizing spontaneously in broad daylight (rare, but not totally unheard of for many owl sp). Giving both single hoots and classic paired hoots in 2 bouts; the first brief one while I was collecting veg data, and was super surprised to hear what sounded like a flam. The 2nd bout was after I finished the point count, and I managed to get an audible recording of the very last hoot in the sequence (not great quality but enough to demonstrate presence). I searched for a bit but couldn’t locate it, unsurprisingly, tho didn’t use playback or try particularly hard. Looking at ebird after revealed that Lewis Young has had flams on this same general slope (N facing above tobacco valley) on multiple occasions, so even tho hab looked a bit off of what I’d expect, they do occur here. Note that this recording is barely audible and you might need headphones etc to hear it.
