A male Harlequin Quail in grass. The Harlequin Quail (Coturnix delegorguei) is found in open grassland, cultivated areas and open savanna. It eats mainly seeds and insects, usually foraging under cover, although this male was feeding on the edge of Moloto Drive in Pilanesberg National Park, South Africa, before scampering into cover. Elevation: 1305 m. Date added to IBC: April 7, 2019.
