Habitat: Dry; cyclic wet-dry; second growth; evergreen; canyon-ravine; roadside. Dominant plants: Acacia modesta, Dodonea viscosa, grasses. The call of this species in Pakistan souds almost identical to that of C. sparveriodes that I've heard in Taiwan. ID here based on two unpublished checklists on which sparveriodes is not listed; hence process of elimination. Plumages of these two species are very similar. Last cut began with this species but shifted to next species quickly and is filed under that RRN, LNS 179404.
