觀察細節
first heard bird. reminded me of Black-throated Green Warbler. However, the notes seemed to be consistently clear, no buzz notes, but 4th note of 6 note song with a different tone - reminiscent of the place where a buzzy note should be in a Black-throated green warbler song. Also seemed to have 2 short notes at end of song, whereas Black-throated green should have all notes the same length - at least the way I'm familiar with the song. After about 40 minutes I saw the bird, briefly. I focused on looking for yellow marks or a yellow wash in the vent area. I didn't see any. i quickly snapped 3 pictures of the tree, hoping to capture an image of the bird. I got one image from underneath. It is a male setophaga with a black throat. I didnt think there was yellow on the chest chest when I first looked at the photo, but others saw the yellow - which made this an easy Townsend's Warbler. and black streaks are on the flanks. It also has black spots in the vent area. Form below, it looks most like a Black-throated Gray Warbler, but I did see a yellow cheek. I cannot recall the exact details of the face pattern as it was a brief look. It doesn't seem to have enough color underneath for a Townsend's and the yellow in the vent area is lacking from underneath for a Black-throated Green. The black spots in the vent area don't fit for Black-throated Green. I tried to get better views for a couple hours. My phone battery wore out to get more recordings. It did not sing consistently. It would sing for a while and then go silent for 15 or 20 minutes. the recording as Bewick's Wren, Wilson Warbler, and babbling water predominently. With other subtler possibilities in background. https://vocaroo.com/i/s1Owcz7xxP17
