觀察細節
The Ross' Gull was found 18 Feb. by Harry Nehls. It is a winter plumaged adult. We first saw it around the Coast Guard Station. It spent the whole day feeding along the waterfront from the Hwy. 101 bridge up past the Coast Guard Station into the restaurant and commercial area. The bird actually would fly so close that it couldn't be followed with binoculars or camera! Needless to say the bird was well seen by everybody. All field marks for this species were well seen. This is the 11th sub arctic North American record for this species, the first for Oregon and the second for the west coast.
