The bird was observed for 2 full minutes as it foraged along a sandy/pebbly section of a stream, emerging from the forested understory, feeding for 10-15 seconds along the bank, then retiring back to the protection of the understory, only to return to the bank to feed again15 seconds later; and repeating the whole process four times. We subsequently mounted a camera trap onto this spot that, and it did return to the same spot twice in the next month, though not subsequently. Note that this bird is at the opposite end of the park from the one seen by me in August of 2017. That earlier bird was also heard calling in December from the place I had seen it in August, so very likely this is a different individual, and hopefully there are a number of breeding pairs in the reserve.
