观察细节

One female seen close to the Nagara Riverbank associating with three Mallards. Round white spot below and back from the eye. White patch in front of the eye and a slight white line down along the neck. Brown head & body. Short stubby tail sometimes flicked-up. Dark short unmarked wings flashed open just once. Smaller than the Mallards it was swimming with near the tetrapods. Jerky movement through the water - similar to a Moorhen’s. Not shy but as it was after sunset, and I only had my smartphone, I could only take a few photos & video in the fast-fading light. This is a First Record for this duck species in Gifu City. Next day, it was not there.
