This mallard was killed by the fox I photographed. I was done the small access road to the sewage plant, peering in at the birds in thefar sewage pond when the fox (carrying the mallard) came right up the bank of the sewage pond. It only noticed me when it crested the top the embankment, beyond the fence and only 10 metres away. As soon as it did, the fox took off, leaving its kill.
