Three individuals were initially detected by characteristic flight calls. They approached from the west and passed overhead across Bay #11, giving loud ‘tuwhee’ and ‘wit-itit’ calls. Flight was rapid and agile, with frequent sharp turns; wings long, narrow, and pointed, producing a distinctive swallow-like flight profile. An hour later, again at bay #11, one bird was encountered in flight over head, attention was drawn to its call as it flew with speed overhead, likely being pushed by strong gusty conditions.
