Continuing third state record, first for pitifully bean-deficient region 10, which, unlike Saratoga Lake, lies in New York’s “Bean Goose Desert.” Domed head, smaller bill with prominent grin patch and limited orange window both eliminate Taiga Bean-Goose, which has also occurred at Saratoga Lake, Region 8, but would not be caught dead here. (Dropping the bit, this is the second observation of this species for me. This individual seems much more cooperative than the 2021 Saratoga bird.)
