Continuing from report earlier in the day by Anne M(and likely same from days prior). Unable to relocate shortly after but later ran into Natalie R. who had eyes on it in the bay across from Heron Pond. Thank you! Loon with a grayish back, dark gray top of head, and pale gray along sides of neck, white underside and front of neck, small bill held slightly upward. Preening for a bit near the edge of the ice before taking long dives along Ellis Island. Photos tba
