Did not hear it until I reached the high point on the trail at the golf course. It eventually crossed over and landed in a tree on the slope above me. Here 34.140275, -118.288824 It moved around a bit on some bare branches allowing me to move up the small uphill trail until I was close beneath it. It called occasionally. This is almost certainly one of two Thick-billed Kingbirds now wintering in Griffith Park.
