Updating. my count to 2 after reviewing my photos. Markings were distinct enough to confirm two birds, especially after reviewing Matt T's photos of two birds in one photo. Orange/buff color face with violet/gray cheeks, two dark stripes on either side of buff stripe on top of head & bold, black stripes on body . Huge thanks to Maureen M for finding these yesterday as she was diligently counting American Tree Sparrows A treat to find this normally secretive bird out in the open, feeding on seed heads. Stunning bird.
