Active foraging with Little Egret on mudflat & oyster reef. Very similar in overall size and shape to Little Egret, but slightly shorter-legged. Bill dark yellow, slightly deeper than on Little, with lores darker than bill. Legs dark greenish, lacking clear contrast between dark legs and yellow feet, shorter and thicked than on Little. Foraging style more active than on accompanying Little, searching for prey on oyster reefs
