Continuing great find by Colby Baker. On the ground at (40.7924, -73.9586), near a solitary bush, close to some larger bushes and trees. Loosely associating with a few White-throated Sparrows. Flushed into the bush when a Merlin flew through, but quickly came back out. When it flew, I heard a single high-pitched flight call that I think was from this bird. Last seen flying higher into adjacent bushes and trees. While on the ground, it seemed to be finding and eating lots of small seeds, but I couldn't tell what they were.
