Adult female. Flew over and worked for 10 minutes on a pine tree that a male had been seen on in previous days. It wasn't digging as deep into the wood as the male; accordingly it was getting a lot less food. Noticeably smaller than the male. (The attached photo is also while it was higher up on the same tree that I have previously submitted photos of the male.) It then flew over to another tree that the male likes, spent a couple of minutes on that, then stopped very briefly on a few other trees before disappearing.
