Seen on the ground along the fence line about midway in the picnic area (across from a dead and down tree that was cordoned off by caution tape). Large, chunky sparrow. Black speckling on the top of the head. Cream colored line above the eye. Dark triangle behind eye. Goldish/cream collar. Pink bill and legs. Black and cream vertical striping on the back. Bright white belly with three or four streaks on the flank immediately below the wing. Black necklace and triangle on upper breast. Two white wing bars.
