A hatch year male, with green back, scattered gorget feathers, deep rufous flanks and lanceolate rufous tail feathers. Notching, or lack thereof, of R2 difficult to decisively confirm but appears absent. most likely an Allen’s. Bird first observed October 30 and last observed October 31st around 7:15 am. Trapping and hand identification attempted but unsuccessful.
