late to still be in Florida and most likely the same continuing bird from reports on 4/30 and 5/1. beautiful bird. very large shorebird. more colorfully patterned and longer billed than whimbrel. this bird had obvious blue gray legs and a bicolored humongous and downcurved bill. Seen in one of the ponds on the base. pics in the distant future to add. i am so far behind on uploading pictures from trips.
