Having dipped the Dusky Warbler and coming to the end of my trip I found myself sitting enjoying a cup of tea in Cley visitor centre. Scanning through the window a stocky grey passerine flew past at eye level, I was pleasantly surprised when putting my bins up to see a Great Grey Shrike moving east. Seen a few more times in flight over a hedgerow east of the visitor centre, I managed to get a few others on it before it seemed to go down. After a few minutes searching along the hedgerow it was relocated and showed very well. I might start a ‘while drinking tea’ list. Phonescopes attached.
