This bird found by Michael Young and photographed over last two days. A nice adult in near full alternate plumage (se photo). Dwarfs the Least Tern when nearby. Arrived at about 9:45 AM, drank and bathed, then landed. It was immediately chased by a Cattle Egret, but soon returned. It was resting on the sandbar when I departed at 10AM. It was not present late yesterday evening, so may be best looked for in mid-day.
