Flew into the flooded/overgrown field just southeast of lot C around (38.5393325, -121.6190567). Was watching swallows in the field as I was heading back and heard the high pitched tsee-weet! call and saw a medium sized shorebird with a dark back and rump fly in and land in the grass. Walked over in the dry, adjacent field and found the bird hidden in some grass, watching me closely before walking into view.
