Malheureusement, les photos que j'ai prises de l'Aigrette neigeuse le 12 novembre ne sont pas bonnes. Celle avec le plus grand oiseau ressemble un peu à un Héron garde-bœufs, mais ce n'était certainement pas le cas. Je connais très bien les deux variétés. Alain Grenier dans une lettre datée du 1er décembre 1989 et jointe à la brochure, ainsi que la photo.

Received telephone call from James Brodeur to say he had seen a white heron on the lake. Went out in canoe with him and on a stretch of sand in habited shore, a marshy area, found a Snowey Egret. Very surprised as I had never seen a white heron on the lake before and have been birding in this area for many years. Clear identification from the following features: size, thin black bill, yellow lores, black legs and yellow feet clearly seen as bird took flight. Time: around 15:15, he had seen it first around 12:00. Strong wind: 30-40 km/h from the west. Temperature 0 °C. Ilay Ferrier
