Rare. Westernmost record? First heard calling down in the valley while walking to our next survey point. Did a quick detour and changed some plans to go document the bird. Flycatching off a single willow surrounded by tundra. Giving a distinctive high-pitched "tsi-pik" followed by a burry lower pitch "gr-rk" continuously. Empid with grayish-green with a peaked crown, small bill, and long primary projection.
