Original observer: W.G. A. Lambe. Source: Percy Taverner's Ornithological Journal entry for June 17 1897. "June 17 - Mr. Fleming and I went over Mr. Lambe's skins. Among them we found the following rare records. Two Horned Lark. Uffington. Muskoka. 20/10/94." One of them, an immature 'alpestris' bird, is now in the collection of the Royal Ontario Museum, #2829189.
