Located around 14:45 by some folks from NH feeding on the NE side of Fort Rodman here: 41.593399,-70.900703 Eventually moved to the West side. Relatively svelte, handsome Lapwing, approximately the size of a Killdeer. Gleaming white underparts with black chest shield and iridescent mossy green upperparts. Tawny face with twin black plumes. Thin dark bill. Chestnut upper tail coverts and paler chestnut undertail. White tail with thick black terminal band. In flight, dark rounded wings with contrasting white primary windows. Thin "keeent" flight call given three times when it was flushed by walkers.
