Returned to the beach! Big thanks to Willie for letting us know the bird returned. Amazing looks as the bird sat on the beach with other terns. All dark tern-like bird with longish thin bill, white on crown and forehead. White under eye. Molt on coverts gave appearance of pale feathers on wings. Bird flew out over the jetty again as we departed. Great photos by some of the participants!!
