Upon seeing and photographing this hummingbird, I knew immediately it was rare. Lighting was poor, I needed to wait until the next day to return for better light conditions. With photos loaded late Sunday night, my suspicions were confirmed. The homeowner had requested that I not share my presence on property or photos with anyone. Honoring this request, I did not share photos with anyone to help solidify the identification of this Anna's Hummingbird.
